Continued Identities: Memory Of Clothes

Repurposing the existing past exhibition, ‘Memory Of Clothes’, by Helen Barff and Suzanne Joinson, this project aims to capture hauntology in clothes. The concept hauntology explores the persistence of the past, and how it materializes in the present. This was investigated through my likeness of second-hand shopping, and my developed curiosity of the stories behind a piece of clothing. The outcome presents an exhibition identity, and accompanying catalogue, that plays with the notion of used through its visual elements, such as a worn clothing tag, achieved through screen-printing on to fabric.
